Join us for a cozy, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to make delicious fig jam from fresh, ripe figs!
- Duration: ~5 hours
- Location: Villa Arcadia, Corvera-Murcia
We’ll cover the whole process – from preparing the fruit to cooking, flavoring, and safely jarring your own homemade preserve.
No prior experience needed – just bring your love of good food!
You’ll go home with 3 jars (totally 750g) of your own jam and the skills to make more.
Workshop Schedule
Welcome to Villa Arcadia at 4p.m!
1. Guided Tour & Orchard Walk
Explore the beautiful grounds of Villa Arcadia.
Learn about our fig trees, how we grow and care for them, and a bit about the history of our orchard.
2. Harvesting Figs
We’ll head into the fig orchard to hand-pick ripe figs fresh from the tree.
We’ll also sort and prepare them for cooking – washing, trimming and choosing the best ones for jam.
3. Jam Making Begins
We’ll cook the figs together using a traditional recipe with a modern twist.
Learn tips on natural preserving, safe boiling, optional flavor additions, and adjusting sweetness.
4. Jarring & Labelling
Once the jam is ready, we’ll fill the jars and seal them.
You’ll also get to design your own label – feel free to add your name or a creative touch!
5. Sunset Picnic in the idyllic Villa Arcadia
We’ll finish the workshop with a relaxing light dinner what partly is ready and partly we prepare together!
Menu:
- Homemade fig salad
- Warm Italian focaccia
- A glass of red /white wine
All materials, ingredients, and food are included in the price.
Important to take with You:
- Empty jars if You like Your owns. (200-300ml each)
- Good shoes for walking in the orchard
PS! Spainify can move the date of the workshop if the figs are not ready for picking.
